Information About David - Wigston tutor
This is how 2 referees rated David:
Hello! My name is David and I'm currently studying Natural Sciences (mainly Physics and Materials Science) at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University. I studied for my A levels and GCSEs at Countesthorpe Community College - you can see my academic record below.
Cambridge demands strong studying commitments, meaning I will only be able to take a small number of students over the Christmas (mid December to early January) and Easter holidays (mid March to early April), but can take a large number over the summer break. Over the summer I will be on a research project at the Erich Schmid Institute of Materials Science in Austria so tutoring will be via Skype.
I'd consider myself to be a supportive and approachable person. I have strong interests in Physics and Materials science, play Squash and guitar outside of studying.
I have some one to one tutoring experience, and have a long history of helping out classmates during lessons throughout A level. The supervision system at Cambridge (small tutoring sessions of 2/3 students) has also provided me with tools in which to improve the tutoring experience.
My approach to tutoring will vary based on the needs of the student. Sessions will be thorough, with emphasis on ways to improve examination technique and self preparation, alongside improvement of the general understanding of the material. Having said that, sessions will still be relatively laid back and non-pressured.
