I am an English lecturer in the FE sector specializing in KS3 and GCSE programmes. I am also a published fiction author and member of both International Thriller Writers and the Crime Writers Association.
I have a successful growing private client base teaching from KS2 to GCSE English Literature and Language. I am also teaching specialist creative writing skills to adult clients.
I have been teaching English in both an academic and work-based learning capacity for over 20 years. This includes group teaching to 30+ students and 1-1 specific supported learning. I am currently a full-time writer with publishing contracts for fiction and to produce literature text study guides for schools.
My approach is to first establish a baseline starting point with the student which I then set up an action plan for learning. I then focus on areas for improvement and assess these on regular basis then give constructive feedback. With exams preparation, I use mock questions from past papers and give a grade using the mark scheme
I am passionate about English in both language and literature and use my skills and knowledge to best support the individual.
