Hi I am 25 years old and am doing my PhD in Neurobiology. My research is focussed on the action of hormones on the brain. I have an MSci in Biomedical Science from the University of Aberdeen. I graduated with a First Class Honours degree and a prize for my thesis. I am Austrian/ American, meaning I am bilingual in both English and German.
Throughout my degrees I have had several opportunites to communicate science and my research in a clear and effective manner. I enjoy teaching science and helping people understand this fascinating subject. My mother is also a biology teacher, and I have helped her develop material for some of her classes, with my additional knowledge from my degree.
I have a personlised approach to helping students learn, as each student has his or her own strengths. I will help the student to see the "big picture" and have fun while learning. The most important thing is that the student has fun learning, and I hope that I can impart my passion for science and language!
