I've already experienced the enormous benefit of having personal tuition myself - my former mathematics tutor helped immensely, enabling me to achieve an A* at A-level. He then got me involved by asking me to help some of the students he had been working with, and I have never looked back!
I specialise in working with students who are looking to study STEM subjects at university. I make sure that my students understand that everything they learn in the classroom has real-world applications. I also push them to learn more and fortify their understanding to prepare them for success at A-Level and at university.
I also work with students who have recently completed their A-Levels and are looking for more advanced lessons that will help them prepare for studying a STEM degree at university. (For university preparation classes, please contact me through the normal channels specifying that you have recently completed A-Levels and are looking for tuition for university-prep.)
STEM subjects can be difficult and demanding. But when done right - by studying with good preparation, patience, and discipline - the work is extremely rewarding.
I have been working as a personal tutor for over two years now and have helped over 20 students at GCSE and A-Level, specialising in Maths and Sciences to prepare for STEM degrees. I'm very proud to have seen fantastic improvements in all the students I have worked with.
I find teaching to be a very fulfilling experience - it’s a great feeling when to be able to have a positive impact on someone, and help them to achieve their goals and ambitions.
I aim to push my students to not only to achieve good grades, but to master their subjects.
My approach to personal tuition helps students to fortify their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. I help them to learn not only the minimum of what is required of them, but also to learn beyond what they are taught in the classroom to prepare them for all of their future academic and professional endeavours.
I pride myself on my ability to explain difficult concepts coherently, understand the unique learning styles of each student, and being accommodating by going at the pace that each of my students are most comfortable with. The best learning is done when students are pushed to know more than what is necessary for their exams so that they gain a deep and lasting knowledge of the subject.
