My name is Daniel, a former secondary school teacher of mathematics. Having taught top set classes of 30 all the way through to small intervention groups of 4, 1-on-1, from year 7 to 13, I have a wide breadth of experience I can use to help you, the individual pupil, unlock the potential inside you.
I will try and get to know you so we may work together in achieving what you want (maybe even more). Whether it's trying to move up a set in year 7 or trying for that grade 9 in A level, I am confident we can achieve.
As a professional teacher of 2 years, I bring experience and efficiency to the way I teach maths. You can expect high quality teaching if you hire me as your tutor. My knowledge in both teaching practice and mathematics in school means I can quickly identify common misconceptions/learning difficulties in pupils and execute an appropriate strategy tailored for them.
I firmly believe in setting mutually agreed upon goals to work towards; this way, both the pupil and I have clear steps of progression. Seeing how quickly you are learning something can be highly motivating and therefore, highly effective when learning. Lessons are between 30-60 minutes and are for pupils of any age from KS3 up to A level.
