My journey into the world of science began at King's College London, where I obtained a 1st Class (Hons) Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Biomedicine in 2017. Fuelled by a passion for science communication, I pursued further studies at Cardiff University, graduating with a Master's degree in Science Media and Communication in 2018, achieving a distinction.

Following my academic pursuits, I transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, where I dedicated three years to developing comprehensive training materials. This experience not only honed my expertise in chemistry but also deepened my understanding of how to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

Driven by a desire to inspire the next generation of scientists, I embarked on a career in teaching. Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of working in various educational settings, where I've taught all three sciences to students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Whether it's breaking down the intricacies of chemical reactions or exploring the wonders of the natural world, I'm dedicated to fostering a love for learning and empowering students to reach their full potential.

With a solid foundation in both academia and industry, coupled with my hands-on experience in the classroom, I bring a unique perspective to tutoring. My approach is not just about imparting knowledge but also about instilling confidence, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong curiosity about the world around us.

Tutoring Experience

As a fully qualified teacher holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With three years of full-time teaching under my belt, I have honed my skills in creating engaging and effective learning experiences for students of all levels.

My commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment is underscored by my full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, providing peace of mind to both students and parents alike.

Throughout my teaching career, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, catering to their individual needs and aspirations. I've taught both the AQA and WJEC syllabi in England and Wales, delivering comprehensive instruction in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics up to GCSE level. Additionally, I've guided students through the rigors of Chemistry and Applied Science at A-Level/BTEC Level 3, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their examinations and beyond.

Beyond the classroom, I've also delved into the realm of tutoring, providing personalized support to students preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, and even degree-level studies. My experience in tutoring has allowed me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each student, whether it's reinforcing fundamental concepts, tackling challenging topics, or providing guidance on exam preparation strategies.
