I have known Dan for almost a year now.
I am a mature student at Coventry University, and I have just finished completing my Higher National Certificate in Law.
I have been using Dan on a regular basis throughout my course. He has been exceptionally fantastic as being my personal tutor that I will continue to use his services when I start my three year LLB degree course in September this year.
I am 22 years old and I currently work full time. Dan has been amazingly understanding with my family and work commitments, and he always works around my commitments when booking in tutorial sessions.
He has always explained complex legal systems and theoretical ideas in a simple and easy to understand way. The feedback he provides on my assignments, whether through Skype or comments left on word documents are clear and concise, allowing me to crack on with what is required.
He has given me skills that I will definitely use throughout my degree course, and most likely throughout my potential legal career.
As well as tutoring me on my HNC course, Dan jas also provided advice on my UCAS application, and also advice regarding a career in law/legal profession.
Whatever state my assignments are in Dan always encourages me to go that extra mile with my reading and writing around a particular area of law.
He is also professional, prompt, and has a good sense of humour. A very relaxed tutor to a very complex course.
I am looking forward to receiving my overall marks, and throughout the last three modules I have achieved Upper First Class qualifications. This would have been unlikely without the support from Dan.
I totally recommend Dan to anyone, without hesitation.
A very pleased and happy client.
He was very extremely courteous, concerned with what I wanted to get out of our session and created a structured and relaxed atmosphere.
Unlike some previous tutors Dan was not concerned about walking out of my door dead on time (though that would be understandable) but more concerned that I understood the material.
Would not think twice about hiring him for his services again for anything law related.
He has greatly improved my learning outcomes, his help is invaluable.
I had only 1 session on Monday 20 Jan. It was clear he did not prepare for the subject we were going to have nor was he confident in answering my questions, knowing that I have emailed him the material before so he could have a look before the session.
Ironically we had 1.5 hour session and the rate £30 per hour so that means £ 45. I handed him £50 and he didn't have any change having looked in his wallet. I said don’t worry keep it and will be deducted the following session as agreed on Thursday 23 at **Telephone Number Removed** hours.
On today 22 Jan, he sent text he couldn't make it unless 2:15 pm, I have explained that I have final revision classes and won’t be able to make. The earliest I could do is rushing from class would be around 2:20 and 2:25 pm.
He refused, and said lets reschedule for next week. I replied okay how about the weekend. He said will charge extra for travel. I referred him to our agreement; on the exchange emails that we agreed on the basis he will be in London 3 days a week Monday, Thursday and weekend being Saturday or Sunday. So only £ 30 per hour.
He refused and said find another tutor, I replied fair enough, can I at least get the £5 back? He refused.
TO BE HONEST I AM GLAD IT ENDED HERE, IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU CANT TRUST A PERSON WITH £5 , AND HE CLAIMS HE IS A PROFESSIONAL.
Dan is a model of what a successful tutor should be. He is not only knowledgeable but also able to transfer information in a clear and concise manner, reliable consistent in approach and has developed a strong tutor/tutee relationship with me. Dan provides me with the best advice ensuring I secure top grades in my coursework and exams by sign posting how to answer any question more effectively. I would recommend Dan to any law student who is determined to work hard and to act on the advice and guidance given.
