Personal Description:

I am a professional and dedicated practising Artist and I am a Circuit Studio artist at Wysing Arts Centre. After graduating I worked as a Painting Assistant for Damien Hirst. I specialise in Fine Art and Photography, as well as French. During my degree I participated in Erasmus and did a semester in Brussels, Belgium. I learnt French while living over there.

I am passionate about getting young people interested in the arts.

I have an up to date Enhanced DBS check and hold a certificate in Child Protection Training.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked as an Artist Facilitator for both Kettle's Yard and Wysing Arts Centre, creating arts workshops for all ages in various different settings.

I worked at The Leys School as an Art Technician for two years, giving one-on-one teaching and support to children from 11 to 18yrs in Art. I not only taught painting and drawing techniques but also printmaking techniques such as etching and linocuts. I have extensive experience helping final year students (Upper 6th/Year 13) preparing portfolios for University Applications.

I did work experience with children of 8 and 9yrs as a Classroom Assistant at Western Park Primary School in Bristol and had to teach small groups of children arithmetic. I also taught foreign nursery rhymes to primary school children of all ages at Aston Gate Primary School in Bristol.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is one of patience and encouragement. Individuals all have different needs and I adjust my teaching technique appropriately. I teach practical skills that lead the tutee to carry out their goals.

I can tutor and mentor you in:

Fine Art materials and techniques - oil/acrylic/watercolour/ink/gouache painting, drawing, chalk/oil pastels, mixed media, conceptual art, etching, linocuts, carborumdum printmaking, installations, sculpture.
