I am an undergraduate student at UCL. I lived six years in Germany and then completed my German Abitur in Hungary with the best possible mark, while I also visited an English-language academic institute to further deepen my English skills. My academic results rewarded me with three merit-based scholarships from my school, for being the best student in grade 11 and 12, as well as for the best final exam results. My experience as the leader of Hungary's largest high-school debating society also provides me with the necessary communication skills, with which one has to approach children to be a successful tutor.
Therefore, I am very happy to apply my exceptional German language skills for tutoring, which I have experience with through volunteering at an orphanage home in Hungary for two years. As I taught a seven-year old boy in Mathematics there, I am also confident to offer tutoring in Mathematics for primary and secondary students. Currently, I am tutoring a ten-year old boy and an adult in German language in London.
For me, it is important to establish a close and trustful relationship with my students. In terms of the lessons, I prefer to primarily speak German with my students, as I believe this approach largely contributes to one's rapid improvement in a foreign language. While I certainly place emphasis on grammar, I also plan lot of interactive conversational tasks for my lessons.
