Clément

New Malden Tutor

My name is Clément. I am a French native speaker who has been living in England for two year now. I started providing tuitions to KS3 pupils when I was 18 years old and since then, I've constantly tried to develop my teaching skills.
My credo is that a teacher should always tried, as far as possible, to give lessons which are tailored to the pupil's needs and to connect knowledge with the reality and human nature. That's why, it's important in my opinion not to separate any subject which is taught from elements of general culture.

Tutoring Experience

I have an extensive experience of one to one tuition in French as a mother tongue or as a Foreign language and in Italian as a foreign language. Indeed, I taught French to foreigner adults in small group for the Red Cross and Italian in one to one or small group. Furthermore, I worked as a French teaching assistant in Italy in a technical high school and as a learning support assistant in a high school in France. Therefore, I also have experience in mid sized or small groups teaching.
Throughout my teaching curriculum, I've often supported pupils in their homework, so not only in my favourite subjects but in other subjects like mathematics (up to secondary school level), history or biology.
I also provide electric or acoustic guitar tuitions for beginners or intermediate. I have been playing the guitar since the age of 11. Between 11 and 18 years old, I took electric guitar lessons in a music associative school with a certified guitar teacher. My guitar lessons include : dexterity and warm up exercises ; learning of chords (from basic to more complex chords) ; major and minor scales ; basic fingerstyle exercises ; use of the plectrum ; essential blues basics; techniques of the solo guitar; learning to play songs or riffs from songs(these can be famous songs but it's also possible to get off the beaten track or even ask the student which song he would like to learn depending on his/her level).

Tutoring Approach
