Information About Claire - Guisborough tutor
This is how 3 referees rated Claire:
I am an animal mad primary school teacher and in my spare time I love to spend time with my cat … and my husband and son. I also love crafting and will turn my hand to most things creative, particularly crochet and sewing. Reading is also a passion of mine; I love many of the classics and a good old who-dunnit.
I have 23 years teaching experience and have taught across all age ranges from Year 1 to Year 6. For the last three years I have been teaching small group interventions to Year 5 and 6 children at a primary school in Stockton. I also work as a primary school supply teacher which means I meet new children daily so have to be very good at quickly forming a relationship with a class. I have tutoring experience in both English and maths, and a good relationship with all my pupils.
Drawing on my classroom experience and also my current role as an intervention teacher, I use a variety of approaches in my tutoring. At our first meeting, I will talk to the pupil as to what type of learner they feel they are and then structure my tutoring accordingly. In my current tutoring roles, I have employed games to teach grammar as well as more formal exam practice, book work and whiteboard work.
I am available to tutor either in your own home (additional travel expenses apply) or at my home.
