This is how a referee rated Claire:
I'm an Archaeology graduate from the University of Glasgow. As well as being able to teach archaeology, I have a strong interest in Scottish history, especially of the Medieval Period. In my spare time, I am a member of the Glasgow Vikings Re-enactment Society. This involves me taking part in a number of shows in Scotland, especially as an archer.
I have set up a couple of course with the Universities of Dundee and Strathclyde, both of which focus on Battlefield & Conflict Archaeology. I have also worked on a community archaeology project in a supervisory/teaching capacity. This allowed me to help students and members of the local community to learn about archaeology by working in the field. This has allowed me to work with a variety of different people with different levels of knowlage of archaeology.
My approach to tutoring tends to be fairly informal and I prefer to have a level of discussion between myself and the student(s). I tend to use power point presentations for larger groups, one on one discussions, or field trips to help with the learning process.
