I have been teaching for 24 years and am a Y6 teacher. I love working with children and giving them the tools they need to be able to fly. The sense of joy when the children in my class grasp a new concept and move on is immense. I believe in providing children with creativity, high challenge and a safe environment where they can make excellent progress. The new curriculum for primary children is extremely challenging, and some children require that little extra help , which is where 1:1 really can help.
I am also a mum..... patient, warm and kind!

Tutoring Experience

Teacher for 24 years. My expertise is specifically Y5/6 English and Maths, and my tutoring focuses on specific learning gaps and/or preparation for the KS2 SATs.

Tutoring Approach

After an initial discussion with parents, I would informally assess where the child is at in terms of their learning and from that point, tailor a programme which plugs gaps and allows for more rapid progress to be built from a solid foundation.
My personal approach is fun!
