Hello! My name is Cieron , an enthusiastic doctor working at the John Radcliffe hospital and living in Oxford.
I am a Doctor (MBBS) having graduated from Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I also have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Kings College London in Infectious Diseases and Immunobiology. In medical school I ranked in the top 10% of the graduating cohort in my final year receiving honours in final specialities. I am also a college tutor for Balliol and Lady Margaret Hall colleges, University of Oxford where I provide teaching in pathology. I have a keen interest in teaching and hope to devote much of my future career as a doctor to teaching.
I am able to offer A-level and pre-clinical and clinical medical students support by teaching your specific curriculum. My philosophy is that to understand medicine, one must have a good grounding in scientific principles. I am highly equipped to incorporate anatomy, physiology, pathology and immunology into clinical learning and hope to inspire students away from `rope` learning. I also appreciate the importance of time management when it comes to exams and will deliver lessons that provide `high yield' facts.
For anyone applying to medicine I can also help with this. I have worked at interview days supporting students and I have interviewed on the panel for entry into Brighton and Sussex medical school. As a result I fully understand what medical schools are looking for both via the UCAS personal statement as well in the interview. I am willing to offer a personal ";Entry to Medicine"; course for anyone wishing to gain entry into a UK medical school.
Overall I am a friendly chap who values the importance of effective one-one tuition. For me, the scientific principles that underpin our understanding of the aetiology, detection, prevention and management of clinical diseases are sacrosanct. I am also keen to provide students approaching exams with `high yield` tuition to relieve the stress associated with A level or medical school revision.

I am a foundation education lead for Oxford University Hospitals NHS trust where I manage postgraduate education and partake in projects to innovate medical education.
An essential role of being a doctor is daily clinical teaching of training medics, students and allied health professionals.
In 2014 I worked in Malawi for the period of 3 months. Here I undertook a quality improvement cycle as part of an initiative to drive up the standard of care for non communicable diseases including epilepsy, hypertension, diabetes and common respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD. This took the form of lecturing, one to one tuition and allied group work.
I timetabled a short course in immunology for medical students at Brighton and Sussex Medical School to help prepare them for their final phase 1 examinations.
Finally, I regularly undertake one-to-one tuition with medical students in their clinical studies.
