A chemistry graduate of the University of Bath and Helsinki University (ERASMUS). Currently completing a masters degree in the Netherlands. I'm a great advocate for STEM in all its forms and want to share my love for science with the next generation!
Having completed a CELTA course, I've previously spent two summers teaching conversational English to children in Romania and to visiting Japanese schoolchildren in the UK, finding it an exceptionally rewarding experience. I actually interviewed to start a science PGCE through schools direct before having a change of heart, but I'm still committed to encouraging the study of STEM subjects.
Given my background in teaching non-native speakers, I've learnt to provide clarity when articulating problems, along with taking the time required to ensure a problem is understood. My approach is to treat every student individually and let the student dictate what direction the lessons take.
