After many years of teaching Mathematics to GCSE and A level full-time in a sixth form college I am now teaching part-time in a secondary school. Since I have more time available I am in a position to offer tuition and I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with students on a one to one basis.
With more than thirty years experience of teaching Mathematics in schools, adult centres and colleges I have a wealth of experience in helping students develop their skills and understanding of Mathematics. My subject knowledge is excellent and I am very experienced in preparing students for GCSE and A level exams. As well as teaching A level Mathematics my experience as an A level examiner has given insight into the requirements of A level Mathematics exams and thereby improved my ability to help students achieve their potential.
In general I am always patient, encouraging and supportive. I explain Mathematical theory clearly and work through examples at a suitable pace. I can help students to improve their grades in exams using targeted revision and exam practice questions.
