I am a graduate of Textiles in Practice with First Class Honours. I am now a freelance hand weaver producing artwork for corporate and private spaces. Having studied Art and Textiles since GCSE, I have vast experience in producing sketchbooks, drawing skills, artist research, making processes and art/craft theory.
Additionally, I was an A* student throughout my education and have a well-rounded understanding of all subjects, and am adept at essay writing skills and developing lateral thinking skills.
I am a kind, conscientious person who listens well and builds relationships quickly and easily.
I am a Teaching Assistant and Associate Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, with 5 years of experience teaching craft workshops to ages 8-11, as well as working as a supply Speech and Drama teacher to ages 5-14.
I have a holistic approach to learning and believe that learning is a life-long activity.
I believe that education is about both developing as a person, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of their subject.
I believe that creative making and thinking skills can be transferred into other subjects such as Maths and Science.
I believe that learning should be engaging and fun.
