My name is Christian Parry. I have recently finished university where I studied a BEng in Motorsport Engineering.
The main reason I loved this course was due to the application of mathematics to the real world. In turn, I am keen to tutor students in mathematics to show that it is not boring and is very useful for every career.
Also, I strive for a career in motorsport and design so Design and Technology is one of my key passions!

Tutoring Experience

I assisted students of differing abilities as a Design and Technology Resistant Materials Technician. This involved working with students on a one-to-one basis on key areas they did not understand.

Tutoring Approach

First, having been a student both before and during the pandemic, I know how vital it is to adapt teaching styles. Therefore, my approach is that I will adapt how I teach to the particular student in question. Indeed, I will contact students before a tutoring session to understand how they learn best and how they stay engaged.
A key way I teach is to identify a key problem area, provide a short lesson on this area, and then work through interactive tasks and questions to show how the content applies in practice.
