Information About Chris - Moreton-in-marsh tutor - (1 review)
Young engineer and musician who also happens to be passionate about languages!
I currently work in the aerospace industry for a company that supplies aircraft components to manufacturers across the world, but in my free time I'm passionate about music and Spain. I visit the country at least twice a year and have a number of professional and personal friends around the country.
I began tutoring the guitar at age 17, before going on to do an Electronic Engineering degree at Leeds University. Here I earnt extra money by tutoring A Level Mathematics privately. From here I had a brief stint teaching Mathematics to 11-18 year olds in two secondary schools in Leeds and Harrogate. Now back in the Cotswolds, and with a large number of European friends in the area I am excited at the prospect of helping people with Spanish.
No-one learnt their mother tongue by writing out verb conjugations. I will not be handing out notes and I will not be asking any one else to make notes. I will not be setting homework. What I will do is talk and encourage the student to talk back to me. I aim to take the student through the structure of language rather than hammering them with vocabulary, how to form their own expressions based on their own thoughts, and hopefully inspire the sort of curiosity and passion that you truly need to master a language.
Additional Languages: French, Italian, Spanish
