Hi, my name is Chris. I am the Principal Teacher within my Primary School and have an excellent range of teaching experience at every stage.
I received my primary teaching qualifications at Glasgow University, where I am currently undertaking my second diploma in education to further enhance my skills as a teaching professional.
As a father of 3 (2 girls and 1 boy) and a classroom teacher I fully understand the range of support that can be required to help children overcome their barriers and reach their full potential.
I have taught at every stage within the primary setting and always established an excellent rapport with my pupils. I plan accordingly to meet every pupil's individual academic needs while making learning enjoyable and accessible.
Most recently I have acquired Acting Depute Experience within my school before returning to my post as Principal Teacher. This academic year I am leading my school's focus on raising attainment.
I adopt a very encouraging and supportive approach when working with my pupils. To ensure that I meet each pupil's needs, I work in collaboration with parents and the pupil to identify our goals and plan appropriately to achieve this. Tutoring sessions are tailored to best meet each individual's specific needs.
From the outset, setting and achieving short term goals to boost confidence and increase motivation helps to pave the road to achieving longer term targets.
