I am an Italian writer, copywriter and film critic, and I've been living in London since 2007.
I have studied Fine Arts and Art History and then specialised in Film Studies. I work in publishing, and collaborate with several film festivals, coordinating workshops aimed at young film critics.
My articles have appeared online and in print, and cover subjects such as film, popular and visual culture, contemporary art, fashion and feminism.
I have coordinated a film criticism workshop aimed at young film critics, giving them feedback on their analytical skills and writing style and abilities. Over the course of the week-long workshop, I could see participants refine their writing and arguments, delivering poignant reviews and features.
I have also experience of privately teaching English as a Second Language and History of Art while living in Italy (my tutees were aged 11-16).
My approach to tutoring is thorough, and aimed at instilling a real passion for the subject as well as giving tutees the notions and tools to eventually pursue their studies independently.
I tailor the study sessions according to the tutees' needs and learning style, covering the aspects required by the syllabus and including topics that may pique the tutees' interests and encourage them to discover more on their own.
