My name is Chiara and I come from Italy. I am an archaeologist and a museum professional.
At the moment, I am a second-year PhD student at the School of Museum Studies, University of Leicester. I have studied both in Italy and in the UK (MA in Classical Archaeology and MA in Museum Studies). Over the last five years, I have been living in Malta, Spain and the UK, where I worked in several sectors, e.g. museum and archaeological sites, hospitality, education and mentoring.
I am very passionate about ancient art and history, new cultures and learning languages. I love travelling and going to exhibitions.
I have been mentoring students during my high school and university time, giving classes to both high school and university students on a variety of subjects, but preferably arts and humanities.
I have experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language.
In Spain, I worked as an English teacher in a private language school.
I have normally tutored and mentored single or paired students, as I like to establish a relationship of trust with them, in a relaxed environment.
I try to meet students' needs whenever I can, discussing subjects they may find more interesting and engaging, planning objective goals, strengthen specific skills and giving targeted exercises and homework.
