I am a 33 year old History teacher and am hugely passionate about my subject. In my spare time I love to travel and spend a lot of time visiting historical sites, although a lot of my time is now spend with my little girl! I also love to watch rugby, read and attend pub quizzes.
I have been teaching secondary History for the past 9 years. I have experience of teaching across the 11-18 age range. I have taught in a variety of schools, including high-achieving and special needs. I am also an examiner for the AQA GCSE History paper so I have extensive knowledge of the papers and methods needed to achieve. I have also run tutoring sessions and revision classes, in preparation for GCSE and A-Level exams.
I use a varitey of methods when teaching and believe that this is important to engage students. I believe that each student is different and therefore will need a different method when being tutored. Tutees can expect a friendly tutor with a good sense of humour, who is dedicated to the individual and to them achieving their full potential.
