Beginning in 2009 (-11) with key stage three (KS3 - children from 11-14 years old) students, tutoring in English, French, History and Music.
2010-11 - Tutoring GCSE students— English, French, History, Geography - All tutees in question saw at least 50% improvement in their grades.
2011-12 - Tutoring A level student extensively - History - This student had obtained a E grade at AS level before I had tutored them. In their resit of said exam taken subsequent to my tutoring them they obtained an B grade. They then proceeded to obtain an A grade at A2 level with my teaching.
Working as a private tutor - teaching them English as a Foreign Language (French and Russian speaking mother tongue students)
I am an adaptable, diligent and personable tutor. Throughout all aspects of my life and work, I apply myself with rigor to ensure successful outcomes and the optimized means of achieving them. As such I am very passionate about ensuring my tutees are able to develop extensively through my teaching, improve their academics/grades, and succeed in their goals.
I am passionate about education as a vehicle that empowers students, facilitating the means by which they excel both academically and more broadly in terms of their personal development, with the promise of opportunity this can yield.
I like to engage my students in thinking broadly, paying attention to skills of critical and lateral thinking - providing tools that are transferrable to different subjects and disciplines.
