I have graduated from Imperial College London with a Bsc in Biochemistry. I enjoy helping others in their academic endeavors, and believe that I have the acquired knowledge to help them succeed, as I too have understanding of examination technique and requirements.
I adopt an enthusiastic and imaginative approach to teaching, and am able to help with all levels and abilities.
I have had experience in tutoring GCSE and Alevel students in math and science subjects and also have had additional experience working with children and teens, through voluntary schemes. For example I spent a summer volunteering as a ‘team leader’ in a children’s camp in Scotland. Also have had a long term commitment helping to teach young children to swim (I have a RLSS lifeguarding qualification).
I believe it is important that students fully understand the subjects being taught, and not just knowledge required from mark schemes. Whilst exam technique is important, I find that once the subject had been properly understood, any question can be mastered. I feel that an interactive environment from one-to-one tuition really gives the student a chance to improve their comprehension and increases their chances of achieving high results.
