To be a great tutor I believe you need these things; knowledge and passion in the field you teach, and experience of working with young people and an understanding of how to explore ideas with them in an interesting and engaging way. I also think learning should be fun.
I studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge and graduated in 2013. I have worked at a technology company for the past year and a half. And so I have a solid understanding of maths and science as academic subjects and also their applications in the real world.
I am experienced in working with and teaching young people. I first started teaching science in 2010 when I was in sixth form to year six pupils from a local primary school. I have also coached hockey to children. I understand how to present information in an engaging way.
I aim to help students achieve their aims and potential in Maths and Science. Each student is an individual so I like to spend a bit of time understanding what their aspirations are so I can deliver maximum value to them in our sessions. Whatever the aim of the session I aim to make it fun, relaxed and friendly.
