Personal Description:

Hi my name is Charal and I'm 24 years old.

I have a BSc in Business and Management and a Masters in media and communications. I Love Classical Civilization (which i studied for my GCSE and A - levels), Art, Biology and History.

At the moment i am studying for my PTLLS 2012 (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). i have no previous teaching experience but would love to gain some. With my PTLLS 2012 (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) i am learning how to interact with different types of learners and would love to put my skills to work in a more practical sense.

Tutoring Experience:

At the Moment i don't have any teaching experience but i have worked in Education. At the moment i am studying my PTLLS 2012 (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). I will complete in in the next 4 weeks.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to use various methods to tutoring, for example experiential activities, be flexible and meet each learner’s needs, provide information that will overlap with information learners already have and reiterate and reinforce information throughout the session

I understand that there are different types of learners visual, auditory, read-write, and kinaesthetic.

For example:

Visual Learners tend to be, fast talkers. They use words and phrases that evoke visual images. They learn by seeing and visualizing. The teaching strategy for these types of learners should include the use of demonstrations and visually pleasing materials, and you should make an effort to paint mental pictures for learners.

Auditory Learners speak slowly and tend to be natural listeners. They learn by listening and verbalizing. The teaching strategy for auditory learners should sound good and should be planned and delivered in the form of an organized conversation.
