Three years ago I was awarded a scholarship to study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, and graduated in December 2015 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Performance. It was here that I studied vocal technique and performance craft, and received intensive coaching on German, Italian, and French pronunciation.

Prior to that I studied Music at Anglia Ruskin University, and graduated with a 2:1 and a £500 performance prize. It was here that I studied music composition, music history and theory, music performance and music therapy.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience working with children with both special needs, mental health difficulties and behavioral issues.

My role at Sewell Park Academy, Norwich involved working one to one with Special Educational Needs children in a classroom environment. I worked with children from year 7 up to KS3 students in years 10&11.The subjects I was allocated to included Maths, Science, History, English, French, Music and Drama. I also assisted with one to one reading in the library at lunchtimes.

My other role was in pastoral support, working mainly with disadvantaged children with Social, Emotional, and Behavioural issues.This involved liaising with Social Workers, Family Support Workers and Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, as well as offering practical support with bullying incidents, behavior issues, and allocating report cards and timetable changes. A huge part of this job also required working with parents and teachers to improve pupil behaviour and progress in school.

Tutoring Approach

I offer one to one tuition for classical voice, focusing mainly on vocal technique and language pronunciation, but also expression and performance.

I teach young children and beginners as well as more advanced singers. I coach both male and female voices (Baritone, Tenor, Mezzo Soprano, Soprano.)

I will teach classical technique and repertoire, but will also cover standard repertoire grade 1-8 including musical theatre and folk song.
