I am a fully qualified teacher of Spanish and French. I am currently taking a break from full time work while my daughters are young but I am very keen to continue to be involved in the subjects to keep myself up to date for my return to work and also to help out some of the many students who need the extra support in order to reach their true potential. I am extremely hard working and dedicated to my students and now that I have the time to research and prepare tailored lessons for my tutees, I am excited to focus my efforts on helping pupils achieve their goals.
Caterham School - during my four years at Caterham, I taught Spanish from beginners up to A-Level including Oxbridge preparatory lessons and French up to the first year of GCSE study.
I tutored one pupil through the A-level Spanish course over two years. His school did not offer Spanish to A-Level so we completed the whole course during our weekly lessons.
I also tutored a Russian 6th form student who wanted to improve his conversational French
Primary spanish - I have recently started teaching a small group of 4/5 year olds whose parents wanted them to start learning a foreign language.
Tutoring is a unique opportunity to really focus on the tutee's talents, goals and needs to create the most effective and enjoyable lessons. In languages, confidence in your knowledge plays an important role and I aim to help students build their confidence by offering personalised support. Whether they want to go on to study languages at University or simply want to get the grades they need to move on, I have the experience to pitch my lessons to the correct level and bring out the best in my students.
