This is how 2 referees rated Caroline:
I graduated from The University of York in 2012 having achieved a 1st in Mathematics. Having taught Mathematics for 5 years and tutored for two years I understand how valuable tutoring can be in achieving results and boosting confidence. I am extremely passionate about making maths more accessible to students by simplifying concepts so that they enjoy their learning. I have enjoyed teaching a wide range of students with different needs, interests and abilities and understand what it takes to make the difference.
I have been teaching for five years working in two schools and tutoring students one to one for two years. Hence I have experience in KS3, KS4 and A level, teaching students from all backgrounds and attainment. I have successfully lead interventions in GCSE; taking a small group of students grade C students up to a B or higher in a short space of time. Previously a KS5 coordinator and have been teaching A level for both a sixth form and college provision.
I am very professional but pride myself on building good relationships with students in order to build their confidence quickly. Identifying areas of weaknesses and working through these to create a solid mathematical foundation is very important and individual to each learner. I tailor each session to the student and use high quality resources to ensure learning is engaging and challenging.
