A dual national, I have taught French for over 25 years and been head of French at a local school. I have a 2:1 joint honours degree in French and Italian and a PGCE in modern foreign languages, both from Bristol University.
I have taught French to GCSE, IGCSE and A level locally and have been an examiner for GCSE, IGCSE and A level. With experience of teaching French in the classroom and also one-to-one tutoring, I am totally familiar with those aspects of French that language learners can find difficult and have developed various exercises and approaches to help overcome these.
Before we start we’ll discuss what you would like to gain from private lessons. If you are preparing for a particular exam, we’ll look at which parts of your course or exam papers you want to work on most; if you wish to brush up your “old school French” with a view to relocating to France or just to improve your French for holiday use, then we can do that.
