I am a graduate of a 2:1 BSc Hons Geography degree and a PGCE in Geography. I am currently in my 9th year of working in an outstanding UK HMC independent school as Head of Geography and Head of Sociology. I have worked with AQA and Cambridge examination boards for the last 5 academic years, so have a good understanding of how GCSE and A-Level exams work and are marked. I am committed, motivated and extremely organised. I am quality driven, focused and have a proven track record of achieving excellent results and value added with the pupils I teach and tutor.
I am currently working in a top UK Independent School as a Teacher of Geography. I have been classified as an 'outstanding' teacher for the last 9 academic years. I have been tutoring on top of my full time teaching role for the last 7 academic years and have privately tutored 30+ students so far.
Many of my tutee references and clients do not appear on this website, due to word of mouth from current and past clients, and also the fact I am currently tutoring siblings of past tutees, references are available from these clients on request. This shows I have good, long standing working relationships with clients, and continued business due to my success.
I take a committed approach to tutoring with an aim to achieve immediate results.
Any abilities and ages welcome with the aim to improve general understanding of the subject, specific topic areas, case studies or concepts or revision and exam techniques for an upcoming exam.
I am able to provide past exam papers and mark schemes for all exam boards, with key advice required for the specific requirements of each of the exam boards.
I have experience teaching the following examination boards at GCSE and A-Level; Edexcel, AQA, OCR, IGCSE Cambridge, IB and WJEC and have proven success with tutees for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
