I am a former software engineer and currently, a Physics student at Open University. I am studying my second degree in the UK. I completed the first degree in Turkey, ITU (Istanbul Technical University).
I am married and have two children who are 8 and 6 years old. They are going to school full-time, so my best available time slot is between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm on weekdays. However, I can arrange myself for after school time which is 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Besides, at weekends I am available from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm.
I taught Physics and Maths to many students from different range of ages, in Turkey and the UK. Moreover, last year I voluntarily organised Science Club in Sutton Central Library and currently - again voluntarily- I am leading Science Club with a friend in Westbourne Primary School (my kids' school).
I voluntarily worked in an educational centre for three years as a Maths and Turkish teacher until my children started to school full-time.
I prefer teaching interactively, with a plenty of concrete examples from daily life. Asking questions and finding the answers with students is one of my characteristic approach. The students reach the results by their own effort, which is actually needed for strong confidence. What makes me successful in teaching Maths and Physics is my immense passion for Maths and Physics.
