English (Foreign Language)
I've always had a strong interest in the English language and love exploring different areas of this fascinating subject with my students.
In my free time I enjoy reading the classics, modern fiction and non-fiction on a variety of topics.
I started teaching English as a foreign language in 1998 where I taught adults and children in a private setting.
I worked at the College of North West London (a further education college) from 2000 - 2010 teaching English at a variety of levels ranging rom absolute beginners with literacy needs, to advanced learners. During this time, I helped prepare students to to sit various exams including: Pitmans, CCSE, CELS, Skills for Life, PET, FCE and CAE.
I have been doing one-one tuition with adults and children since 2008, and during this time I have become familiar with Key Stages 1 - 3 in the National Curriculum.
My approach depends on the needs of the individual student. To ascertain these I do a Needs Analysis Test, and in conjunction with the student plan a learning programme. I use text books and authentic materials and have an extensive **Contact Detail Removed** at my disposal.
