Information About Bilal - Stanmore tutor
This is how 2 referees rated Bilal:
I am a Lecturer at University College London, Institute of Education. I have been teaching, tutoring and supervising up to university level since 2011 and have an outstanding academic record (see qualifications).
I provide tuition in Economics (GCSE, A-level, University), Maths (Primary, Secondary, GCSE and A-level) and Entrance exams (University). University modules covered include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Quantitative Methods and Statitistics. I also provide tuition on the statistical software package Stata and presentation technique.
I am available to travel to all inner London areas, as well as East, North and North-West outer London boroughs. I am available weekday evenings and weekends daytime and evenings. I offer online tuition via Skype with the IDroo online whiteboard extension, allowing for myself and the student to work well at a distance.
I am passionate about teaching. I have had the privilege of being taught by remarkable individuals throughout my educational career. There is no doubt in my mind that it has been my teachers that have allowed me to succeed, through their commitment, skill and communication. This joy for teaching has passed on to me, and I look forward to sharing this with my students, helping them to gain an edge over their peers, and ultimately achieving the right grade for the student.
I have taught secondary students from Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School and The Latymer School, and am familiar with the major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel and OCR). I have been a private tutor teaching secondary students since 2014.
At university level I have taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students from University College London and Imperial Business School since 2011. Further I have supervised MSc dissertations and am currently lead-supervising two PhD students. This Autumn I will be teaching an economics module at University College London which I have designed myself.
My priority is always to ensure that the students I tutor attain the very top grades available to them. My teaching style is thorough and relatable and I leave students with a more complete and intuitive understanding of the subject. I pride myself on communicating clearly, empathetically and well, and being very well organised.
I take time to prepare methods which bring theory to life, using activities, games and analogies. I help students gain confidence, both in their understanding of the topic and their ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stakes exams.
These traits have been the key to both my success and enjoyment in teaching over the years.
