I am a hardworking and enthusiastic second year student at Swansea University studying an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance with an interest to work in Finance after my degree.

Despite my current degree, my foundation of learning is predominantly STEM subjects, having studied Maths and Biology at A Levels and Physics at AS.

In my spare time I love to help others by volunteering for various charities and church projects. Last year I volunteered for a charity called Discovery in which I helped out in various projects and centres, including the refugee and asylum seekers centre.

I also love to play badminton socially and I play the piano and guitar from time to time.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching experience began when I was in the Pathfinder's club; which is very similar to scouts. Within this organisation I was a Junior Counsellor, teaching children between the ages of six to eight basic life skills such as road safety, taking care of the environment; and etiquette.

Additionally, whilst in sixth form I was an academic mentor; I supported a year 11 pupil with their educational needs such as homework; particularly maths; and personal issues they disclosed.

I tutored GCSE Maths during my first year in University and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I also have a two younger sisters who I help with their homework; particularly my seven year old sister; whom I have tutored since she was in nursery.

Tutoring Approach

At the first meeting I would discuss any specific difficulties the student may be having with the subject at hand; we will then discuss what direction we should take to over come those problems.

With GCSE students, my approach is based heavily on past paper questions. This is to ensure they are confident and are able to do their utmost best when it comes to exams.

Most importantly, I am willing to adapt my way of teaching to ensure the student gets the most out of the session. This includes videos, diagrams, presentations and games.

In all, I am willing to Skype or travel to your home in order to tutor you, provided you live in within Swansea.
