This is how 2 referees rated Ben:
I have recently graduated with a Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Modern Language with Management from the University of Leicester. I have studied Spanish for eight years, all the way through Secondary School and I have studied French since starting university in 2009. Despite my short time studying French, I can assure you that I understand, write and speak the two at an equally high level. I spent 8 months living in Lyon and Paris and a further six months in Barcelona last year as part of my degree.
I will be undertaking a PGCE next year in order to become a Modern Languages teacher at secondary schools.
For the past several years I have helped out with oral exams in my former school and sixth form and subsequently I have a wealth of experience of teaching across a variety of age groups.
Furthermore, I have undertaken work experience at a local public school teaching French to children aged from six to sixteen.
I am a firm believer that the only way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it. Consequently this encourages the learner to seek ways around speaking English, constructing a solid vocabulary and allowing them to explore grammatical structures without fear of judgement, which they may face in the classroom.
Additionally, given that I am graduating this year, I am up to date on current events affecting the French and Spanish languages. I will bring this knowledge and first-hand experience to my tutees, giving them a well rounded language learning experience.
