Personal Description:

I graduated in 2013 from Cambridge with a First and a Foundation Scholarship in Natural Sciences. Currently, I am studying Graduate Medicine with a Scholarship at Imperial College London. I am friendly, enthusiastic and patient.

I'm currently available for support with writing personal statements and interview preparation for Oxbridge and Medical School applications.

I moved to London two years ago and have been tutoring alongside my medical degree. I am also employed by one of the top London tutoring agencies - but my rate here is hugely cheaper than through them!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been working as a tutor for six years, teaching students from age 10 to adult.

For GCSE level and below, I have tutored Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and French. I love making these subjects interesting and fun, which in turn renders them much more memorable.

Above this, I tutor Biology A-Level and have extensive experience in coaching ten students for entrance exams and interviews. As a recent graduate, I understand the rigors of these application system, both for Oxbridge and for Medical School. I contributed to the book 'The Oxbridge Application Guide' on the process from personal statement to interview. Additionally, I came in the 99th percentile for the UKCAT entrance exam, and was successful in every place I applied to medical school as a graduate.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is through questioning, discussion and visual learning through diagrams. In getting to know a new tutee, I find out the basics that they are comfortable with and build up from there. Often, in the classroom, my previous students have missed a step and found it hard to get back on board from there. So, in building on discussion of a subject, students gain not only knowledge, but confidence; this allows them to be more independent in their learning in future. I encourage students to explain things to me wherever possible, thus ensuring that they can apply what they know. I aim to make students enjoy their study, but also have a sharp focus on exam technique. This ensures that students understand exactly how to approach questions and no marks are missed.

For university entrance, I offer sessions on drafting personal statements, coaching interview techniques and performing mock interviews to help students gain the competitive places they deserve.
