Information About Beccy - Bedlington tutor
Health / Social Care
I am a qualified Nurse and have had experience working in many areas of the health sector, Sexual Health, Nursing Homes and General Medicine etc… I am also a qualified Nursery Nurse and have worked with children aged 0-7 in Nursery and Primary school settings. On top of that I am a busy Mum and so appreciate how difficult it can be to fit in studying and assignments!
I completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in 2005 and have since worked in Further Education environments including colleges and more recently teaching level 1 and 2 in both Child Care and Health and Social Care as part of a regeneration scheme in Walker, Newcastle.
I believe that students hold the power to their own success, it's just that some can't see it in themselves and need help to realise their own potential. I have a relaxed approach to teaching, involving lot's of discussion, using real life scenarios and case studies to help students relate the theory to real life situations. People have different learning styles and I can adapt to whatever preference a student has.
