I am a friendly, very approachable and good-humoured teacher, with a lot of patience and wide degree of experience working with all kinds of students (both younger and older). I teach a very wide range of subjects and am flexible in my approach to my work and my life. I have excellent ICT skills and am a very exceptional communicator. I am the former national President of the Institute for Learning (IfL), and General Secretary of the Association of Part-Time Tutors (APTT).
I am a highly experienced teacher in further, adult and higher education with over thirty years experience. I have worked with a very wide range of students, from those at beginners level to advanced students working towards post-grad' qualifications. My primary asset is my experience, and this capacity means I am quite a unique individual.
I believe in working to the student's needs, creating a syllabus for them that fits their targets and aspirations, and am happy to adjust study targets and content as progress occurs. I have a patient manner, and understand the stresses that learners face. I am flexible, and well organised in my approach to teaching and learning.
