One-to-one teaching is about establishing a rapport with your student and a clear understanding of what would benefit the learner. My lessons will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual learner with a clear focus on the assessment criteria.
It is essential that learner knows what to write in accordance with the assessment objectives. I will ask the students to complete exam style assignments which we will assess and see where improvement is necessary. We will deconstruct the exam texts and arrive at a clear understanding of how to answer exam type questions.
I have a warm and friendly personality and possess a talent for getting the best out of my students, even those lacking confidence or motivation. I believe it is about discovering every student's potential and enabling them to achieve. I am enthusiastic about my subject and genuinely believe enthusiasm begets enthusiasm.
I have successfully moved students up by two or more grades.
I teach one-to-one in my own home. I can deliver lessons via Skype if you prefer. However, I don't drive, so travel to you is not possible unless you live withing a mile and of my home address.
