Personal Description:

I TUTOR: Maths (GCSE, A Level), Philosophy (A Level), English (GCSE, A Level)

I have completed a Masters in Fine Art at Slade School of Fine Art, University College London. I have also got a BA in History of Art and Philosophy, and did my A levels and GCSEs at Kingston Grammar School.

I am dedicated to becoming a painter and hope one day to enter academia to research the arts/culture. As such, I enjoy reading a wide variety of topics, including politics, philosophy, history, economics--anything that I think will be useful in understanding culture. I am also a freelance artist working on commission, and have exhibited my work in Leeds and London. Throughout my life I have consistently achieved high academic standards, gaining 8 A*s and As at GCSE and 2A*s and an A at A level. During my time at Kingston Grammar School I held the art scholarship, which I gained through competition against other candidates on an exam. I gained a 1st on my undergraduate thesis, and enrolled at the top ranked art college in the UK, located in one of the country's top ten universities.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a year's experience teaching philosophy and English literature at A-level and GCSE. I am represented by several tutoring agencies, who have provided me with training.

Tutoring Approach:

I think patience and understanding is important so one can know the student's individual method of learning. Once one knows this, it is possible to build a good relationship with the student, which is important to ensure a positive environment fit for learning. Clear and concise communication is important, so that the student is able to learn new things as quickly as possible.
