I am passionate about education and helping you achieve your best! I am a fully qualified teacher and have ten years teaching experience including GCSE Maths and Science as well as Chemistry A level. I have an excellent track record in helping students to meet and exceed their target grades, with students and parents being very happy with my approach, as shown by my excellent reviews.

I have a degree and PhD in Chemistry. I enjoy learning new concepts and helping others to understand a subject, not just be able to pass the exam. I also remember what it is like to struggle with a subject and so explain concepts in as simple a way as possible. Outside of teaching I am a keen runner and love listening to music.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher and tutor. I have ten years teaching experience, including GCSE Maths and Science and A level Chemistry. I have tutored for the past 12 years and have helped students with Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

I am an experienced Examiner for the Edexcel and OCR exam boards, and so have a good insight into what Examiners look for when marking exams, and can couch students in exam technique.

I have also worked with several adult learners to help them pass numeracy tests for Teacher Training and admission to the Fire Service. I welcome any enquiries from adult learners.

Tutoring Approach

Each session is tailored to what each student needs and wants to cover. I make regular assessments to pinpoint the specific areas students need help in. I believe that regular exam practice is crucial to getting, and often exceeding, your target grade, and so usually leave mock exams and past papers to be completed after the session as homework.
