I am very passionate about inspiring students to bring out the best in them. I have a wide range of teaching and learning strategies and dozens of resources to support and extend my students. My simple philosophy is not to rule anybody out but to ensure that students fully understand the concepts and have ample opportunity to practice and learn from their mistakes. By so doing, my students gain the confidence, skills and tenacity that is needed to master the subject. What spurs me on in this profession is when everything comes together and my students are well-prepared and pass their tests with flying colours and the greatest satisfaction that I get is the gratitude that they show me. For as long as this passion remains in me, I am determined to inspire, challenge and encourage my students to be the best that they can be. This is why I tutor.
I have over 11 years teaching experience and I am currently an assistant headteacher at a reputable school in Coventry. I am an outstanding teacher with excellent track record of accelerating pupil progress. I have taught in different schools and have in-depth knowledge of the different exam board specifications. I also have over 12 years tutoring experience. Part of my tutoring experience has been with Justin Craig education which is a well established tutoring institution. Previously I taught in a school with a very high A level intake with outstanding results due to expert knowledge from well-experienced teachers. I am aware of the difficulties and barriers students face even as the exams has become more stringent and I have the right strategies to coach them to become excellent learners who excel in exams.
I am also an experienced examiner so I am acutely aware of common mistakes and misconceptions that cost students marks and can help them spot and avoid such errors in exams. I am reliable and dependable and always honour my appointments so you can count on me for seeing you through to the very end without giving up on you.
My approach to tutoring is to ensure that my students fully understand the concepts, get ample opportunity to practise and build confidence to a point where they can fully master the topic by tackling a wide range of questions. I believe for students to enjoy mathematics, it has to be demystified and made less abstract by making my explanations as practical and exciting as possible. Because I have taught in different schools and familiar with the specifications of different exam boards, I have a variety of ways of explaining something deeper insight into concepts. Once I have explained a concept to my student, I believe they then need a rich source of essential resources to practise and consolidate the concepts in order to gain that full confidence and independence required for excelling in exams.
