Hi!
I’m Ariana and I am an Oxford PPE student, hoping to inspire students to achieve their full potential as a tutor.

In my A-levels, I scored A*A*A*A in Maths, Economics, Politics and History, as well as an A* in EPQ on Britain & Partition. As part of my Oxford application, I passed the TSA, which assesses the critical thinking and problem solving skills also found in the assessment criteria for other admissions tests like the BMAT, LNAT and 11+. This process also included interviews and I would be happy to conduct sessions for Oxbridge interview preparation.

Tutoring Experience

During my 4 years of tutoring, I have taught primary school, 11+, KS3, GCSE and A-level students. It has been wonderful to see the growth and accomplishments of these students. This includes seeing students pass the 11+ and other students go up multiple grades in their GCSE and A-level subjects. My proudest achievement, however, is my work as a teaching assistant in a primary school in East London: I provided one-to-one academic and social support to children that were struggling to keep up with national attainment standards. The improvement in these children’s results and their confidence was amazing to see.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are tailored to each individual student’s needs and goals. Every student is unique and requires different methods for the best results. Consistent feedback to and from the students (and parents) ensures that each lesson is better than the next. Following the Pandemic, I have had an immense increase in the number of virtual lessons I have given. Although this can be a limitation for old methods of teaching, the use of virtual whiteboards, interactive models and educational games has helped me improve student engagement. With these tools, I look forward to helping you reach your goals.
