I graduated from The University of Nottingham, with a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Biochemstry. I followed that up by doing a MSc at Cardiff University, School of Medicine, in Ageing and Health and Disease. As of now. I currently work for DWP as a work coach. I have a great passion for learning, teaching, mentoring and tutoring through the many experiences that I've had through out my lifetime and hope to transmit to my clients through the approach that I take.
I am also a current distance learning student with London School of Economics (LSE), studying a BSc in International Development.
Whilst at university, I've provided a great deal of guidance, support and tutoring to individual students on a one to one basis. This was something mainly born out of my passion for teaching.
This has helped me to hone the skill of good interaction between a teacher and student; its enabled me to develop a variety of different approaches for students, dependant upon what type of "learner" they are.
Based on my ability to organise my distance learning studies and my previous studies at university, I believe that I can offer a unique approach to each and every student that I take on.
First, I speak to client and like to get an idea of their expectations, ambitions, strengths and weakness. Secondly, I'll look through their syllabus and make a tailor made tutorial plan to follow.
In agreement with the tutee, I will proceed with this plan. Whilst following the specially designed plan, I will make sure that the tutee in question is constantly tested, with at least one test every 2 week block, to further identify areas of strengths and weaknesses, and to identify whether the tutorial approach needs to be changed for the tutee and to identify whether they're grasping the concepts and and key facts to a high level.
The skills and knowledge that I provide will no doubt help to the tutee in many aspects of their life.
I'm more than happy provide guidance, support and advice to students who are applying for university.
1) Providing advice and direction about career choices
2) Help with Personal Statements.
I'm more than happy to help tutor students abroad too, via Skype.
