Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced teacher, Assistant Headteacher and Head of English with 29 years experience as a teacher. I have taught across the age and ability range and enjoy my job immensely. I have worked as a tutor in the past and thoroughly enjoy the role.

Tutoring Approach

I understand how everyone has a preferred approach to learning. Through discussion I would look to establish how each of my students would like to work and then work out a schedule for tutoring from there. I believe in modelling and giving structure to students but this doesn't mean doing all the work. It's all about helping and supporting, building up the understanding with students, not for them.
