This is how 2 referees rated Anne:
I am a passionate linguist and have been teaching Spanish for ten years to a variety of people in many settings. During my PGCE I specialised in Spanish and French. I lived in Mexico for two years where I first learned to speak Spanish and I feel it gave me a good insight into the challenges acquiring a new language can bring. I love to pass on my passion for Spanish and believe I always create a very positive and encouraging rapport with my students. I now also tutor French and have really enjoyed the challenge of both acquiring another language myself and consequently tutoring others.
I have been tutoring Spanish for ten years to a variety of students. These range from primary school children, adult beginners, KS3 pupils, GCSE pupils and A level students. Presently I teach Spanish at a school for pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties, who also have many learning difficulties. I also have many private pupils at various levels in Spanish and French.
I have a very pupil orientated approach to tutoring. I always assess the needs of my pupils in terms of learning styles and looking at what help they most need. I like to make my lessons fun and so use a variety of teaching styles to engage my pupils. I listen to feedback and am constantly self reflecting as to how my lessons can improve and how to engage my pupils more.
