I am a French national who has now been living in England for longer than I did in France.
My formative years were spent between the 2 countries but my schooling was mainly in England.
I am totally bilingual and am at my happiest when my students go on to spend more time in France. A recent A Level student sent me a postcard from Paris to say that she'd taken on an au pair job during her summer holidays at Uni and this year's (2018) A Level student - who achieved an A in French - is now working as a teacher's assistant at a school in France.

Tutoring Experience

I have now been teaching for 28 years, during which time I have come upon some remarkable students who had an extraordinary capacity to take in and memorise everything I threw at them. The learning process becomes exciting when both my student and I work hard and give it our all. Such students invariably receive an A* which makes me so proud!

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching French is grammar led. Sadly, grammar seems to have become a dirty word and is sorely lacking in schools where children are told to learn their answers for the Oral exam by heart as well as texts for their written piece.
Grammar is the foundation block in any language, without which students will be fumbling in the dark.
