This is how 3 referees rated Anne:
I am a highly experienced teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator with a passion for supporting all children in their learning, but particularly those who find learning a challenge. I pride myself in being able to motivate even the most disengaged learners, help them build their confidence and enjoy learning again. I am adept at diagnosing problems and designing appropriate interventions.
I'm happy to work with all students of secondary age as well as top end primary school students.
I am a highly experienced teacher who has taught a variety of subjects in secondary school before specialising in supporting students who find learning more difficult. I have taught English, Geography and History and most recently I have been an Assistant Headteacher and Special Needs Co-ordinator in a local High School. I am happy to look at subject specific problems but particularly specialise in promoting skills that can be used across the curriculum; all aspects of Literacy are a particular specialism.
Progress comes with confidence; many students who are struggling have lost their way and often can't see how they can improve; I believe it's my job to unpick what they are finding difficult and work out why they are struggling before looking at a solution that best suits them. Every learner is different and it's very important to work out what approach will best meet their individual needs. I pride myself on being able to engage even the most disengaged learners!
